Wine Barrel Table
This Wine Barrel Table is 32 inches tall, the top is 26 inches in diameter. The wood is solid American White Oak from wine barrel staves. The wood still carries the warm and pleasing color of the red wine that was contained in the barrels. The steel bands are also recycled from wine barrels.
The Woodworker/Artist who made this table is Roberto Piccioni, a semi-retired environmental engineer and member of St Joan's Knights of Columbus Council 9206. He advises "The barrel wood carries the pleasing color and scent of the wine that was contained in the barrels and the gentle curves of the bent wood are challenging and enjoyable to work with. Environmental sustainability has been one of my passions and career focus areas for many years – and this is a way I have found to repurpose these French and American Oak woods into a valuable and pleasing form."
